Changing your password

Log in using your user name and password.  At the left hand side of the browser page, click on “Profile”.

On the page that appears – your “profile”, scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see that there are two boxes marked “New password”.  You should type in a memorable password (at least 7 characters) into the first box, then EXACTLY the same password again into the second box.  You will see an indicator that gives you guidance on how strong your selected password is.  Please do not use obvious passwords such as your name, date of birth, ’1234′, ‘abcd’, or similar.

At this point, you might also want to select the way in which you will be referred to on the forum – the default is your user name, but we would suggest that your real name might be preferable, and will enable ex-colleagues to identify you properly.  Choose this from the drop-down box about halfway down the profile page, marked “Display name publicly as”.

Once you have finished making your choices, you must click on the button marked ‘Update’ or the password will not be changed.
